We bought this to downsize our office...new baby coming and we needed more SPACE! This armoire fit the bill! And it looks beautiful in our living room.

Faster than expected delivery...which was a PLUS!! Fed Ex guys even helped carry it in to the front entry way:)
The armoire was slightly damaged on a few of the pieces- which were luckily all in the back...some small cracks. Other than that the item arrived well packaged.
I contacted customer service and was offered two options to correct the damaged items- package up the one that we received and they would send us a brand new one...or a cash refund % to keep the item we already had. Matter was taken care of with in 24 hours. I was very pleased with their prompt and kind customer service...both by email and phone. We will not hesitate to order from them again!!

This computer armoire is used in our "home office" for our personal computer needs. It is made of good materials, well laid out so that everything is in its place and close at hand. It did take about two hours to assemble as there were many parts. There were several holes for hinges that were drilled a little off so I had to redrill them and there was on wood strip that came off and had to be reglued and renailed. On the plus side, when I reported these problems were were immediately offered the options of exchanging for a different one or a nice discount on the price, which we accepted.

We ordered 2 of these for our home office that's in a common area so that we could close them up and not show an officey mess when guests visit. They suit our purpose great and look like very nice pieces of furniture.

The monitor area is wide enough for our wide flat panel monitors with space to spare and the keyboard trays are wide enough for a full size keyboard and mouse next to it with no problem. The computer tower cubby could use another inch in the height as I had to remove the rubber feet from my computer to get it to fit (just barely). There are lots of holes and slots for wiring access which is great, that part was well thought out. They were very easy to put together too, I did it myself and I am 6 months pregnant. I had my husband and son lift the top portion onto the bottom portion when I got to that part but I did everything else. In fact, I built both of them in less than 6 hours.

They are heavy solid wood and feel very sturdy but there are a couple design flaws we will have to remedy. Since we ordered 2 of them, we noticed there was a difference between them. One had a few nicks and scratches in the wood on a couple parts and was not packed up as well. The other looks like it has "older" parts. The white board on one is discolored around the edges and has chipped edges like it was cut with the wrong cutting tool, and the other has a non-uniform surface to where I'm afraid to use a dry erase marker on it because it's not smooth and may not come off. Also the metal edges of the keyboard slide out tray are very sharp and I keep scratching my hands on them. We are going to have to find a fix for that so our child doesn't get injured on it.

Another problem is the screws provided for the letter tray on the door are too small and wont hold the tray, however the door is so thin, anything longer will go through the front panel. We are going to have to attach it using sticky Velcro or magnets because there is no way to actually screw them on without damaging the doors. There were also a couple door hinge issues but it works okay as long as both doors are closed together.

One last thing, it's silly really, in one of the pockets at the top of the upper unit there is supposed to be a piece of wood put in to make the pocket shorter. There is no purpose for that piece of wood and all it does is give you less usable space. We decided not to put that piece in so we have full use of that pocket all the way to the back. It says its supposed to be for CD storage however the pocket isn't tall enough for that anyhow and I hate storing CDs stacked on their side. I rather just have use of all the space and luckily not putting that piece of wood in doesn't effect the stability of the product.

Overall we are happy and can live with the problems and will just have to be creative to make them work for us. We do like the look and sturdiness of the desks and know that they will survive a move or two vs. some cheaper press-board product.

This desk is being used to create a office for myself in a confined space. The prodoct itself looks nice and appears to operate up to my standards. The bulletin board as advertised thoough is very misleading. It is so thin that even a thumb tack will not stick in it unless you puncture the wood through the door. I had to purchase additional cork squares to mount on top of the existing one and will try to use it that way. We have not tryed to mount these squares on yet so I can not say yet how they will work. Other than that all seems fine so far and I am happy with the purchase besides the bulletin board.

The dark expresso finish is beautiful. I thought the knobs were a bit small and cheapened it a bit, but an easy and inexpensive fix to switch out 4 knobs. Great extra features with lots of storage. I needed a piece that fit in a small spot in our family room and it is perfect! Due to the lower height, I was able (and needed) to put some decorative items on top of the armoire, and it looks great! We use it as a family workspace as well as home office area. What a great deal! The assembly was not difficult but time consuming and much easier with two people.

To consolidate space, we decided to get rid of our large computer desk and purchase this more compact computer armoire. I really liked the look of this armoire online and the all the added features such as the file organizers, dry erase board, etc, and I was not disappointed at all when it arrived at our home. I had read other reviews about the difficulty to assemble this particular armoire, but I did not necessarily agree with that upon assembling mine. I think the main issue that people had, and you would need to prepare for, is that the armoire is very heavy...so there are a couple steps in the installation which ideally require 2 people to perform. On the plus side, the heaviness provides a greal deal of stability / sturdiness. I had no issue at all fitting my 17" monitor, desktop PC, relatively large printer, speakers, etc into the armoire. Also, there are plenty of access spots for wiring, and all the wiring hides itself very well. I think you would be well pleased with this piece of furniture in your home.

Delivery was extremely fast, as I received it within 3-4 business days. Product arrived in great condition, no scratches/dents on any parts. During installation, the only thing missing were the screws needed to install the door magnets. As a result, I contacted customer service and they shipped the screws without hesitation. I was very pleased overall with the ordering process, shipping/packaging, and customer service follow-up.

I work at home on my computer every night. I moved the computer in the living room so that I could be with my family a little more. This armoire is perfect. When I am done I can close the doors and you cant see any mess I might have left. All you see is a beautiful peice of furniture. I dont normally write reviews but, this one deserves credit. It was a good price and I am totally surprised at the quality! It looks much better than I expected! It has a really nice finish and a beautiful color. The overall design is great and I can have my home office in my living room and when Im done with my work I can close it up and my home office becomes a beautiful peice of furniture. I did mark heavy on the list but I really dont think that it is a con. I would much rather have a well built cabinet that a flimsy one. I love the product [...]!

The armoire was better than I expected from the reviews. Putting it together is slow, hard work. I found it impossible to mount the small partition in the upper part - I think you need to build a jig for that. I had to re-drill one of the holes for one of the the magnets. The right-hand doors on both parts do not close properly. I'll probably re-position the hinges eventually.

I am satisfied with this purchase because it is made from sturdy material. The back panel is even thicker than the typical ones. It's difinitely a lot stronger than other products I have brought from [...] that cost the same or more. It looks great and has storage for just able everything. I would give it a higher rating but I don't like assembling products that use cam locks because they usally require reajustments to make the parts fit together.

It is a little flimsy.Not made as well as my Canopy armoire in the same pirce range.I think I was expecting it to be a little bigger.Overall the color is nice, it has all the components described in the add, I just wish it was better quality.It does provide a nice place to keep the computer and functional working area.Now my kitchen table isn't the daily mail dumping ground.I'm intersted to see how it holds up to the test of time.

Had a chip on one corner that I had to touch up with Old English furniture polish. I hope it does not get bumped and separate from the armoire.

The trays that go inside the door are not long enough to hold a piece of paper. The trays also fell off when anything was stored in them. When reattached more firmly, the screws went through to the other side, so now I have 2 small holes on the outside of my cabinet door. I would just leave those off since they don't hold what you need them to hold anyway. However, it is a good looking and functional piece and it was the best price I found on the internet.

This highly functioanl piece of furniture offers ample storage space for all of your office needs, and with the ability to conceal everything! The armoire was darker than expected, more of an espresso finish, but it is solid wood and of very high quality. Though advertised as "minor assembly required," the assembly was more involved than expected. In fact, the only pre-assembled pieces were the hinges. This product was exactly what we were looking for. The wood is very nice and durable. After reading all of the other reviews about how difficult it was to put together I was a little worried. I would say that it is not difficult but rather time consuming. My husband and I put it together in about 4hrs. Neither of us are very handy with putting things together though. The instructions are very clear and the pieces are well labeled. The letter box on the inside door did not attach with the screws provided as they were too short. The wood color is very dark and rich. I didn't have any problems with the doors as some of the people stated. Overall I think this is a great product!

The doors did not align properly. The doors are flimsy and am unsure if they will withstand the wear. The knobs are placed at an awkward position in the door.
Also, the design is unsafe...the top half of the furniture rests on the bottom half and has flimsy pegs holding the two together. So once assembled, it is unsafe and impossible to move the piece. Strongly recommend assembling in place/in position.

I use the computer armoire daily. I have several cats and this is a great way to keep the components out of sight and wires unaccessible. I also use the room for other purposes and it's great to have a piece of furniture that looks more expensive than it was. I couldn't afford armoires I saw and this is a great deal for the price. A con is that the unit is so heavy it can't be moved by one person to vacuum behind it. You also need to have time and patience to put it together, or find someone else who does (like I did)! All in all a great buy.

You definitely need two people to put it together--helps if one is a guy (or really strong girl). Directions were easy to follow. It is sturdy and extremely practical. I love being able to hide the mess quickly when company is coming over.

Con: One of the doors doesn't meet up with its partner without some pressure upward.

I'm impressed. after reading all the reviews, my expectations were low, but i knew this computer armoire had to be better than it's manufactured & laminated plywood competition. I was very impressed at the quality once it arrived. Homestyles pays attention to detail and quality. It is even an attractive piece of furniture. This armoire is attractive, but quite small. The piece that holds the printer came to me broken and by the time I discovered it I had almost completed assembling it. I deal with it. It is quite flembsy if you need to move it. was not all that easy to assembly alone and I am a very handy, tool friendly person. Overall it was relatively inexpensive, compared to others, and attractive but it is time consuming to assembly and not very sturdy.

This is used to store my printer, laptop, computer supplies, and a small TV.

It is a nice design and an attractive piece of furniture. I like that I can store alot in the Unit, yet close it for a clean look to my room.

It does require at least two people to assemble and move the unit; preferably one person with a lot of strength. It also takes patience and time to assemble and it is best to do it as close to its final destination as possible. One must have adequate space to spread-out when assembling.

I do wish that the keyboard shelf and the other movable shelf in the lower cabinet pulled-out further. I try to use the keyboard shelf for my laptop (not quite enough room for mine) and the lower shelf for my printer. It is difficult to see the printer because it does not pull out far enough for me.

The cork bulletin board is barely thick enough for tacks or push pins.

This is really a great product. My only cons are that it is doesn't have great air flow in the back, so you do not want to leave your computer on with the doors shut or your computer will overheat. The other is a con but also a pro. It is really heavy, but that's what makes it very study. We are not afraid of it falling down on our 2 year old if he happens to pull on it. Overall, this is a great space saver for anyone who needs the space, but doesn't want to give up storage. We have a big computer, printer, monitor, and external hard-drive all housed in here with extra space for other stuff.

Overall we are pleased. The piece looks good along side our cherry furniture. There are access holes for cords both in the top and bottom of the piece. It’s looks like a nice piece of furniture and its compact size makes it perfect for putting the computer in our room without much notice.

Assembly was a bit of an issue, but we got through it. We had one problem where the backing on the top portion wouldn’t slide into the grooves, so we shaved down the corner to make it fit. Some of the finish was scratched in shipping, but it was easily taken care of with Old English. The cam lock screws have to be at just the right height to lock correctly which can take some back and forth to get right. All the pieces are labeled including the 3 types of wood screws so you know exactly what there functions are.

It was on backorder for more than a month but finally arrived. It was in good shape but a bear to assemble. It took two of us (rather intelligent people) over three hours. We had to sand a piece to make it fit - the pictures in the directions were not accurate. It was missing two magnets[...] The holes in the back make it very easy to wire the computer and hide all the cords. It's a nice piece and beats the particle board armoire we had. I like the uppper and lower sets of doors and the whiteboard and cork board.

Not a bad piece of funiture - but also not the best quality. Unit chips and scratches fairly easily. Some of the pieces were damaged during shipping - but I was able to repair with some wood glue (seems this company's return policy would be a major headache). Unit is well designed and houses all PC equipment, as well as, other vital office supplies. Also, vendor took over 6 weeks to deliver and I needed to keep after them (many times with no return calls) to ensure I was eventually going to receive the merchandise. Overall, it's a decent piece for the price - but do not expect this piece to last forever.

Our computer sits in our living room and it is very nice to now be able to close up the computer and have a "clean" living room feel. I also like being able to watch movies on the screen and close up the CPU and key board. It is great for keeping my three toddlers out of the buttons.
Slight disappointments: The assembly wasn't thought through very well. The counter locks didn't lock tight. We had to glue almost all of them to stay in the locked position. We also received one warped door that wouldn't close all the way. However, they were very kind and fast at getting a new (non-warped door) to us at no extra cost. Our big printer also doesn't fit in the printer spot, so we placed it on top.
Over all I really like the armoire. I am still getting use to having to set it up a little before using, opposed to just sitting down and every thing being right there. But If you want to close your computer in a nice looking, sturdy cabinet this is the product for you. Side note: We also bought dining chairs of the same brand and are very happy with those.

Not really fine furniture but still looks nice. Takes a bit of time and a 2nd person to put together completely. Most of it is fairly easy to put together but can be tough to line everything up such as the doors and magnets. Extra screws is nice but some of the pieces don't assemble well like the file holder.

Would recommend as long as you understand what you are getting. This is a nice space saver and has an attractive finish. Decent deal overall.

The holes were cut wrong and directions were wrong. After we fixed that, all was perfect. If you are the type with the cluttered desk, no worries, just close the doors. I bought one for every member of the family and just have the rule to keep the door closed when not in use. That way I don't have to see anyone's mess. The cubby holes are perfect. There is enough room for all my office supplies, even a garbage can. I use my laptop with this, not a pc. Although you can use a pc with it and most probably do. Why not have an office? We like being with the family instead of behind closed doors in an office. And this way we each get our very own space.
